When it comes to a filtration system in your pool it is always better to go a little bigger than you actually need. For the money you will spend on a filter, it is best to go with the largest filter you can afford. I would recommend using a cartridge filter because cartridges have much more available area to filter than sand. Most start at 100 sq. ft. and the majority of the cartridge filters sold are larger than 300 sq.ft. They don’t clog up as quickly and therefore you touch them less frequently. The Hayward Swimclear cartridge filter will provide you with many years of worry-free operation and crystal clear sparkling water.

The Hayward Swimclear comes in 225 sq. ft. 325 sq ft., 425 sq ft. and a 525 sq. ft. models and utilizes a cluster of four reusable cartridge elements, called a Quad-Cluster. The Swimclear filter makes use of 225, 325, 425 or 525 square feet of filter area for heavy-duty, dirt-holding capacity and a higher degree of water clarity. The Quad-Cluster offers longer filter cycles with minimal care.

The Swimclear tank is constructed from durable, corrosion-proof PermaGlass XL materials that are designed specifically for continuous operation to accept even the toughest challenge of applications and environmental conditions. The one-piece clamp fastens the tank top and bottom with a secure fit and allows easy access to all of the filter’s internal components without disturbing connections or piping.

SwimClear Large Capacity Cartridge Filters are equipped with a high capacity, rapid release manual air relief valve that bleeds air quickly with a turn of the lever. The Swimclear also features a full size 1 1/2″ integral drain for an efficient 100% clean out and an easier tank flushing capability. The 2″ full-flow internal piping and plumbing offers less resistance to flow and maximum performance.
